Marcus Rashford Rejects Chelsea, Newcastle, and Saudi Offers in Favor of Barcelona

Spanish media reports have revealed that Marcus Rashford, the England international and Manchester United winger, has rejected multiple offers to join FC Barcelona this summer.

The 27-year-old is currently under contract with Manchester United until June 2028, but has been linked with a move to the Catalan giants in recent weeks.

According to Sport, Rashford turned down offers from Chelsea, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and clubs in the Saudi Pro League to pursue a dream move to Barcelona.

The report states that the player is excited about joining Barça and is willing to wait for the club to make a formal move. Rashford’s representatives have already held talks with Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, expressing the player's willingness to take a significant pay cut to facilitate the transfer.

The English forward is even open to a loan move from Manchester United if a permanent deal proves financially difficult for Barcelona.

Barça manager Hansi Flick reportedly views Rashford as a versatile attacking option capable of playing on either wing or as a central striker.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are said to value Rashford at €40 million, but are aware they may need to lower their asking price or accept a loan deal to make the move happen.

Notably, Rashford spent the second half of the 2024–25 season on loan at Aston Villa, further fueling speculation about his uncertain future at Old Trafford.
